Cherry Blossom in Japan

Eevery year, in mid february, a whole country goes into hysteria caused by the first signs of spring. 127 million people think, follow (with great interest) and discuss the subject in every social gathering, political or business. now ask yourselves : "what could they possibly speak of so frequently?".
why,the plum of course. the plum which blooms in diffrent districts of japan, the incoming heat waves, the weather cast in general for the upcoming few weeks and how all of these will ripen the opening of the cherry tree buds. this is a most significant matter towhich the japanese dedicate plenty of time and thought.

forecasts of bloom are published everyday, through all means of communication throughout japan. these forecasts report to the citizens of japan regarding the percentages of cherry blossom bud openings from test locations that use samples from specific gardens in japan.
the spring brings with it the excitement and the aspiration for new beginings, a new circle is opened. the bloom in japan lasts for 6 weeks, it starts in the warm south when its mid march and moves north along with the weather which is getting warmer. the tree which symbolizes the peak of spring is the cherry tree , a.k.a the sakura. even though many trees in the gardens and parks bloom, the indisputable queen of spring is sakura.
